All our products are made from natural fibers. The principal fiber for felting is sheep wool. Microscopic scales on the kinky wool fiber open when they are moistened with warm, soapy water. These scales interlock with other fibers forming the dense fabric we call felt. Other natural fibers can be added to the felt and will be bound with the wool fibers.
These fibers include fleece from angora goats and rabbits, llama, alpaca, silk, cotton and bamboo. Fine, soft merino sheep wool is the finest wool for felting and merino is the principal fiber in most of our products.
